SIRA TALUK PANCHAYATH
Introduction  about the Department and Organization structure

This  Institution was established by Karnataka Panchayath raj Act 1993 .Before this period  which was controlled by Zilla parishat Institution now controlled by Zilla Panchayath ,Executive body contains 26  Members  including President and Vice President  who are representatives  elected by people. Government of Karnataka preserve  the power to make rules  of this institution..  .

Sira Taluk Panchayath having 36 Gram Panchayath . These Grama Panchayath were also established by Karnataka Panchayath raj act 1993 .The main aim of the institution is  Decentralized administration as well as controls financial  matters of development departments concerned.

Every year Taluk Panchayath preparing budget for the concerned   financial  Year  April 1st  to 31st  March of preceding Year. Taluk Panchayath conducting general body meeting every month related to check progress report of the all development departments and also KDP meeting will be conducted every three months. Apart from this Lead bank also utilize institution building the purpose of BLBC Meeting

Objectives and Vision. Main objectives of the institution as follows

1 Improve the Standard of Living of the People in Taluk
2 To maintain health ,hygiene and family planning of the Taluk
3 Ensure compulsory education to all 06-14 years child in Taluk And  technical education development
4 Enhancing produce of agriculture with scientific methods
5 Estimate and supply of  raw materials .
6 To check availability of Credit
7 Extension and support
8 Loss management
9  Involving  Land records of Grama Panchayath Soil conservation
10 Minor Irrigation and channel development
11 Water harvesting and water management

  1. To maintain proper veterinary services
  2. Draught related works management
  3. To develop internal fish cultivation
  4. Marketing and processing of agro products
  5. To achieve forest development
  6. To develop small  scale industries in Taluk
  7. Adequate drinking water in Taluk
  8. To develop Non conventional energy resources
  9. To conduct Poverty alleviation programmes

10  Child and woman development
11  And Programmes prescribed by the Government

Programes and Sachems Highlight

Taluk  Schemes of 12th Finance 13th finance  Works,. Ashriya yojane Houses  ,Vasathi yogane Loan  recovery, Ambedkar SC &ST Beneficiary  Houses,  S.O.G programme  Hose Loan Recovery.  And other programs Navagrame, yojane Village Development , Namma Bhoomi namma thota TSC programs construction of  Shouchalaya S.G.S.y. programs  revolving   fund & Subisry amount of  Stree sangga  . Drinking Water programes, in Statutory allotment, Of 36 Grama Panchayath . In taluk programs allotment  sc .st. development and maintainance of Drinking water, mahatma Gandhi  national rural development programs  development of roads, water sheds, Horticulture, sericulture, forest, other development.
